2006 chevy cobalt ss12/11/2022 ![]() #2006 chevy cobalt ss fullOur goal is to achieve 200mph in the car with full interior and sound system within 2010." "We are also installing a roll cage, Garrett 40R turbo, Brian Crower stroker kit to make the 2.0L a 2.3L and a fully built bottom end. "We are in the works with REME Designs for a custom interior and sound system," said Therrien. There is hard work ahead for RedLion Motorsports in order to prepare their 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS for the 2010 SEMA show. We have tested the product time and time again and we have not been let down by the performance of the filter." "We use K&N products because there is no one out there who can compete with the performance in horsepower, torque and fuel economy," Therrien said, "as well as the great product manufacturing of K&N. RedLion Motorsports have been using K&N products since the late '70's on their flat track motorcycles. Lastly, IF and when GM decides to bring out a Camaro (or DCX a Challenger) it is not going to bother me one whit if some other model shares a SS, RS GT, RT, F117A or whatever in the hell designation they decide to call it.RedLion Motorsports plans to convert this '06 Chevy Cobalt from a 2.0L to 2.3L And I will bet dollars to donuts that a whole new generation of performance car enthusiasts could not give a good God dang about what a bunch of old "purists" think about the badging on their fun to drive, reasonably priced (and reasonable to insure), sporty little Cobalt RS, SS, Z24 or whatever designation they chose to grace it with. Would I like to own an old 60/70's musclecar? Yes, but not because they are inherently "better" than a modern car, I want one for the nostalgia that they bring. What they do have, is a place in our psyche, that for some reason, overlooks their many deficiencies. The real musclcars were tanks, handled like crap compared to a modern family sedan, let alone a modern sport coupe and had crappy brakes and interiors compared to modern cars. ![]() I like the heritage of the old muscle cars as much as the next guy, but this "save it for the REAL musclcars" is complete crap. This next part is a general rant, directed at any that it applies to: #2006 chevy cobalt ss upgradeIf they want to use the RS designation on a Cobalt, SO WHAT! The RS was an interior and exterior upgrade package.NOTHING MORE! Just as there were various levels of GT's, RT's, 'Cudas etc. Why not? Historically, there were various levels of SS's (327, 350, 396) available in the same model year, on the same car. The really sad thing is this SS crap is going worse. If GM has to put a badge on it just put a 2.4L badge on it. GM can bring back that badge when they bring back the Camaro. I don’t think the 2.4 Cobalt should get the RS badge. It’s the same stupid mistake over an over an over an over an over an over again. Pontiac doesn’t need an SUV, but GM thinks if they give them one and call it a performance SUV it will sell. #2006 chevy cobalt ss torrentLook at the new Pontiac Torrent it’s just a rebadged Equinox and what does GM say about it “The Torrent represents a new dimension of the Pontiac's commitment to 'total performance,' ”. ![]() ![]() Now when GM comes out with a new sport car, truck or SUV people expect it to be crap and there usually right. It didn’t work then or any of the other times they tried in the past 33 years and they just keep doing it. My point about the 1972 GTO is that it was the first year GM started trying to use performance badges to sell cars that didn’t perform. ![]()
